For those who like it especially strong, this East Frisian broken tea is just right. A very successful blend of classic Assam broken teas creates the national drink of the East Frisians.

This tea practically demands to be accompanied by kluntje (rock sugar) and cream to fully develop its taste.

East Frisian Broken Blend - Assam

Preparation:

  • 3-4 teaspoons = 1 liter
  • Pour boiling water over
  • Steep time: 3 minutes
  • Place a large kluntje (rock sugar) in the cup, then pour in the tea and add a little liquid cream (Wölkle) but do not stir... the East Frisian tea hour lasts until no more kluntje remains in the cup.
